Route: approximately 35 km
Pearl of the Adriatic, this town is located on a cliff about 20 meters above sea level. The inlet, full of sea caves, frames a sea with unmistakable green and blue shades.
Set in the rock, in the center of the town, you can admire the suggestive beach Cala Porto, reachable through the ancient Lama Monachile path.
After visiting the historic center of Polignano you can stop with yours smartvan "Sea view" near Cala Paura.
DAY 2
After waking up in Cala Paura, and why not, after a dip in the splendid waters of Polignano a Mare, we leave in the direction Alberobello.
Route: about 29 km
Alberobello, with its characteristic Trulli, is one of the 53 Italian Unesco heritage sites. The Trulli, typical buildings of the provinces of Bari, Taranto and Brindisi, make the historic center of this town unique in the world, an incredible example of spontaneous architecture.
In Alberobello you can stop with our smartvan in theCamper Service area “nel Verde“, Complete with guarded parking, water loading and unloading service, electricity and wi-fi area.
DAY 3
Let's start to discover some of the most beautiful places in the Itria Valley: Locorotondo, Cisternino and Martina Franca.
Route: about 27 km
Locorotondo, counted among the most beautiful villages of the Belpaese, is located in the heart of Itria Valley, about 10 km from Alberobello. The name is due to the circular shape of its historic center.
A few kilometers from Locorotondo it rises Martina Franca, a town located on the eastern hills of the Murgia, rich in art, history and tradition.
We conclude our tour of the Itria Valley with a visit to Cisternino, a village full of historic houses, small churches and the suggestive belvedere.
DAY 4
We leave from the Itria Valley in the direction Ostuni. Located on three hills, about 218 meters above sea level, Ostuni is known throughout the world as the White City because of the color of the houses in his village, all strictly painted in white. In the center of Ostuni stands the Cathedral, dated 1400, a Romanesque-Gothic masterpiece.
Route: about 17 km
Getting lost in the alleys of the white city will make you discover glimpses of rare beauty, all to be photographed or simply admired. But the magic of Ostuni is not limited to its historic center: we recommend a stop in the green of the agricultural area and a dip in the waters of its marina, awarded by the Blue Flag for purity and beauty.
This is how we conclude the first part of our Wild Tour: where will our journey take us?
